Max Druck was born in Cheetham in 1917, employed in the clothing trade, he was a trade unionist, anti fascist and supporter of Spanish Republic. He served in India and Burma during the war. He returned to the clothing trade and served in his union until retirement in 1982. He took up the Pensioner cause and was active in Manchester Trades Union Council Pensioners and Trade Unionist Association, GMB Retired Members and Spouses Association and Pensioners Liaison Forum
