The Library catalogue database contains details of all our books, pamphlets and journals, whilst the Archives database contains details of all our archival material, plus details of the objects we hold (such as banners, pictures, mugs, etc.) Types of search Simple search A simple search lets you enter a word or phrase and search the title, subject and notes fields in one go. Advanced search; You should use the Advanced Search if you want to search on more than one field, for instance in the title of a book and in an author's name. Refined Search You can submit complex search statements using the Refined search. Using tabs Click on the name of the tabs to move around the search results and see full details of the records you find.

Types of search

Simple search

A simple search lets you enter a word or phrase and search the title, subject and notes fields in one go.

Advanced search;

You should use the Advanced Search if you want to search on more than one field, for instance in the title of a book and in an author's name.

Refined Search

You can submit complex search statements using the Refined search.

Using tabs

Click on the name of the tabs to move around the search results and see full details of the records you find.
