Talking about attitudes in Salford to foreigners and growing up in a mixed-race home. Growing up in Ordsall: Salford as melting pot; more life then than now; tolerance to new arrivals. Prostitution in Trafford Road, pickpockets, stealing from cargoes, injuries at docks. Feelings about and impact of Salford Quays redevelopment in 1980s. Wish for a museum on the docks as a tribute to Salford people's way of life.
