Archival historyThe National Union of Societies for Equal Citizenship was the successor to the National Union of Women's Suffrage Societies. Then in March 1932, it was agreed to divide the work of the Union between two separate organisations - the National Council for Equal Citizenship and the National Union of Guilds for Citizenship (Townswomen's Guilds).
