Scope and ContentCartoon by Davy showing a series of sketchs. The text accompanying them reads: J Campbell opened proceedings by punching a small, harmless looking bell, much to the consternation of a few who were snatching 'forty of the best' before commencing. The Workers Notebook bowed to the compliments it deserved. Maro and Davy trying to crawl out unseen after being thoroughly criticised. The fine way in which J Shields orated would make any barrister cry with envy. The text above reads: Some impressions of the Daily Worker conference by our artist. We undertand that JR Campbell has sent out for a knuckleduster. [Published in The Daily Worker, Tues 11 Jul 1933, page 2]
