Scope and ContentCartoon by Maro showing a man labelled ASW Militant and carrying a bag of tools pointing that the word Militancy which is above the head of a walrus dressed as a man and labelled ASW Bureaucrat. Behind him is a man labelled Boss with a knife. The text above reads: The Walrus and the Carpenter, were walking on the sand. 'If men unite to fight the boss' said he. 'It will be grand.' You get to hell,' the Walrus said, 'for taking such a stand.' The London Management Committee of the Amalgamated Society of Woodworkers have expelled a number of members for pursuing a militant policy withing the union.
