Archival historyAnna Beam is an artist, illustrator and prop-maker from Baltimore, USA. Anna took part in the collaborative exhibition Object Lessons which took place first at Islington Mill, Salford and then at the Working Class Movement Library between October 2010 and January 2011. She handcrafted a series of paper facsimiles modelled on objects in the library collections. Anna said of her "stunt doubles": 'As artworks they may take on a similar degree of reverence as other items within the Library's collections. A statement in itself on value, materiality and the status of the art object'
