Scope and ContentPoster with images of soldiers and the text: A career in the Army could well take you to both ends of the thermometer. But you know as well as we know ... that aggro crops up all round the world, sometimes without warning. And very often the British Army wants to get out there at a moments notice. It could be anywhere, from the Arctic Circle to the South Pacific. And that means training. Unfortunately Salisbury Plain is a lousy place to practise for social warfare. For one thing, there aren't may civilians to practise on. So, to train, we travel. And yes! you guessed it! that's where Northern Ireland comes in. Right now, we are running a major training exercise in N. Ireland. You might think N. Ireland is a lousy place to practise for social warfare, but, until we can really get stuck in on the streets of mainland Britain - Northern Ireland it has to be! BARMY
