Scope and ContentKen Slater was born in 1926. His union was the Amalgamated Union of Engineering Workers of which he became District Secretary. He was also involved with the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and international solidarity work (Nicaragua, El Salvador, Chile, Vietnam), and with labour history education. He was a member of the Young Communist League in Accrington, the Communist Party and later on of the Labour Party. Political education. Post war activities. Strikes. Meetings. Committees. CP membership, names active members. Talk about people on a list of names and their union and political involvement. Union attitudes towards immigrants. [continued from TAPE/315]
