Scope and ContentInterview with Ted Kirby part 2 (continued from tape 305). Ted was born in 1909 and worked in cabinet making and chemical production before starting to work in the London docks, during World War Two. He was a member of the Communist Party and was active in his union and describes various strikes. He also talks about the health and safety aspects of working in the docks. He gives his feelings about the 1945 Labour Government. There is a Word document which gives a more detailed summary of the tape.
