Scope and ContentRuth and Eddie Frow lead a walk around Manchester to discover the area's working class history, with details of route (St Peter's Square, Albert Square, Deansgate area). Ruth gives a fairly detailed description of the Peterloo Massacre. Eddie then talks about the Free Trade Hall, then about Engels and Robert Owen. Ruth talks about women's organisations (trade union and suffrage) in Manchester. Then it is Eddie's turn again - Abel Heywood and the Amalgamated Society of Engineers.
