Scope and ContentThe background colour of the banner is red.
Front
Illustration:
Much of the left side of the banner is occupied by a large, circular, hugely intricate and detailed illustration. At its base is a ribbon-like scroll with gold trim, from behind which a golden sun is rising, giving off many gold rays. Enveloping the sun from both sides the ribbon is tightly wrapped sheafs of corn, which arch up and round to create the oval shape. On each side seven flat faces of the ribbon are visible, all of which have Russian text in gold. Above the sun's rays, in the hollow of the circle, is a detailed globe with gold latitude and longitude lines, with gold and green land. In front of the globe is a large golden hammer and sickle. The ends of the ribbon can be seen to disappear behind the globe. Above the globe, joining the ends of the two arcs of corn, is a five-point star with gold trim.
Just right of centre, in the top third, is a detailed portrait of Lenin in profile.
On all four corners are large, elaborate gold corner borders.
Text:
All text is in Russian and coloured gold.
Above the globe illustration is one line of text, consisting of four words, in a small font.
Directly beneath the portrait of Lenin, in a slightly larger font, are two words, arcing upwards, like an inverted rainbow.
Directly beneath this are four further lines of Russian text, alternately in large and then smaller text, ending in an exclamation mark.
Reverse
Illustration:
Located bottom central on the reverse is an illustration of a cathedral-like building, viewed from one of its corners. Again, the detail is gold. There is a small star at the top of the spire and a large red star at the front of the building. In front of this star is a large gold hammer and sickle and towards the top of the building is a clock face.
Around the edges of the reverse of the banner are 16 circular illustrations, like the one on the front but smaller. They are all variations of the large one, repeatedly including hammer and sickle, corn, globe, star, sun and rays. They are all gold but with different colours in the detail from illustration to illustration. All are unique, very intricate and include various amounts of Russian text.
The same large corner borders from the front also appear on the reverse.
Text
In the centre of the banner, in the middle of all of the illustrations, are two lines of Russian text, again in a large, gold-coloured font. At the end of the text, covering the height of both lines is a large exclamation mark.
